What is Selection Rule?
Selection Rule is used to filter a set of records using a query from KurtSPC.
This query has it's own format. Any Selection Rule first includes a set
of records based on the criteria and then it excludes records collected
from the first set based on another criteria's.
What will make me use Selection Rule?
Suppose you have a requirement to calculate CP, CPK and other details
for all the records collected by Operator X for last 1 month. This query
you can create in Selection Rule and apply to filter out only related
set of records.
How to create Selection Rule?
When you click on Graphs button KurtSPC Toolbar, you will see a window
with name "Graph Configuration", in this window there
is a tab with name "Data Configuration". From here you can create,
modify, delete any Selection Rule. Even this will allow you to attach
any previously created Selection Rule as your query.
What type of queries i can fire?**
You have many option available. Following are some of the hints.
Data collected between From Date and To Date.
Data Collected in last n hours.
Data Collected in last n Days.
Data collected between From Date and To Date by x Operator on CNC No.
xx
Data Collected by x Operator and with x error code .
Data Collected by x,y.. Operators in x Shift.
Data Collected for x Supplier.
Subgroups between x and y.
Error Codes From 101 to 150
Details of Compensation given from KurtSPC
etc...
This list will go on and on depending your requirement.
More Over this Selection Rule details are stored
on the Server, so you can use this Selection Rule from any computer having
KurtSPC installed on it.

How to take out Report Printouts is fast mode
so that it will consume less ink and time?**
You must have seen that taking Report Printouts some times take a good
amount of time. There is provision in your Printer Settings to
select the Print Quality.
Following options are available.
1 FastMode
2 Normal
3 Best
By default Normal is selected. If you change it to FastMode,
you can get all your printouts in eye flashing speed. This will save your
time and resources. And if you have a good quality Printer, you wan't
find a difference in Print Quality. Check it out and we are sure you will
be surprised to see it.
