Air-Gages are used when you
have 10-40 Micron Tolerance.
Requirements
PFL type of Baker OR E-Jet type of Accurate.

Measure ID Dynamically
Instead of Dial, Probe is mounted on Air-Gage Transducer which is
connected to LVDT Interface.
This System captures data at very high speed i.e 250-300 / Per Second.
So if we want to measure ID of Bore, and Operator takes 4-5 second
for 1 revolution of Air-Plug. Minimum value for Bore will be calculated
from more than 1000 readings. System can also display ovality with
Size. SPC Stats will be calculated for both the parameters individually.
All local Air-Gage supplies measure ovality from 2 points. Whereas
in KurtSPC Software, ovality is measured from the travelled circumferance.
This identifies smallest crack in part. System can display Profile
Chart for a Particular measurement also.
Calibration / Remastering
Remastering is done in software it self using Air-Plugs & Masters.
User can goto Remastering Window, Select particular probe and Enter
Maximum & Minimum Master reading using Air-Plugs & Masters.
All remastering info are stored along with SPC Data.
Gage R&R
Gage R&R are also a part of KurtSPC Software, and needs to be
done at the same station. Short term / Long term / Machine Capability
study can be done in software itself. All data are presented in a
Graphical format with GAGE R&R Stats. |
Usage with Fixture

Generally Fixtures are used
to measure more than 1 parameter in 1 instance.

Fixtures & Masters / Setting Rings
Measure Size Dynamically
Instead of Dial, Probe is mounted on the fixture which is connected
to LVDT Interface. Probes can travel upto +/- 1 mm, again they come
in various sizes. Shang dia of dial is same as of probes, so LVDT
Probes can easily replace dials.
We can retrofit probes on your existing Fixtures or design a new fixture
for you. System is smart enough to measure MIN / MAX / AVG from a
set of readings in Dynamic Data Collection. Data collection is performed
at very high speed 250-300 / Per Second. So final value is very precise.
Again ovality is measured in the same instance for each probe individually.
Users can attach Attributes (Shift, Lot, Machine, Machine Operator,
etc.) to each subgroups. They can also attach Error Codes / Assignable
Causes. These details are used to draw a pareto chart.
System can calculate control limits on its own OR use the control
limit defined by you. Every single change in control limits are noted
and drawn in the graph.
System can calculate grading and automatically attach grade to subgroup
based on predifined sets of grades for every single parameter. So
you can have data for various grades and its SPC Stats seperately
for the same parameter.
